The PCF Charity Division works to enhance the welfare and interests of both the citizens and residents of Singapore regardless of gender, race or religion. Our programmes provide financial empowerment to the underprivileged. It was set up on the 23 July 2002 with the Institution of a Public Character (IPC) and Charity status granted on both 24th and 25th July 2002 respectively. PCF Charity Division were involved in major programmes such as : 
 

PCF ASSIST Scheme (Aid Fund for Post Secondary School/Institution Students)
In Sep 2010, we launched the PCF ASSIST scheme to provide financial assistance to students from lower income families and studying in post secondary schools/ institutions. It is a monthly grant for low income post secondary students in Institute of Technical Education (ITE), Polytechnics and Junior Colleges. It is a collaboration between PCFwith and SPH Foundation. Funds for this progam and other is supported by several corporate donors.
 
The scheme is to benefit post-secondary students, which will include ITE, Polytechnic and Junior College students from low income families and help them to meet schooling expenses such as the more expensive reference books and stationery, even to participate in enrichment programmes. For a start, it is proposed that each beneficiary receives $90/month; this was increased to $100 from Jul 2011.

The eligibility criteria are as follows:
• Singapore citizens;
• Studying in ITE, Polytechnics or Junior Colleges;
• Currently residing in a HDB four-room flat or smaller;
• Family’s per capita household income is not more than $450 per month.

PCF ASSIST would be discontinued after 2014.
