Programmes for Children with Developmental Needs

At Sparkletots, we believe that each child is unique and deserves our full support, regardless of ability. Below is a short overview of programmes available that are inclusive of all children. For more additional information, please contact your centre principal.

How Sparkletots Supports Children with Developmental Needs

  • Our teachers encourage appropriate behaviour through positive guidance.
  • Our teachers teach and model pro-social behaviour. When children show appropriate behaviour, they’re commended and sometimes rewarded with stickers or time to play with their favourite toys.
  • Our teachers teach calming exercises to children based on their age appropriateness.
  • Our teachers review the children’s personal needs regularly.

What We Can Do for Children Who Display Recurring Challenging Behavior

  1. Our teachers will first observe and document the child’s behaviour to better understand the child’s needs.
  2. Our teachers will inform parents and develop a plan together, to help and support the child. Both teachers and parents will apply a consistent approach to guide the child’s behaviour both in school and at home.
  3. Our teachers may recommend children with persistent behaviour issues to be screened and observed by our Inclusive Education Team members who are all dedicated professionals.
  4. Our teachers may recommend Development/Learning support or an in-house support programme so as to engage the children better.
