Amidst the recovery and improvement of the pandemic, the PCF Northwest District rallied community support to organize a fundraising event in 2022 called the Northwest District PCF Fundraising 2022. The fundraising was conducted between June and August 2022. The purpose was to raise funds for the less privileged and lower-income families.
In total, $420,000 was raised and channelled to support the PCF Senior Care Development Fund – a fund in support of senior care services provided by PCF Sparkle Care to provide financial assistance for its lower income clients; and other 17 selected charitable organisations.
The 17 selected charitable organisations were: BW Monastery, Sembawang Family Service Centre, Touch Community Touch Active Ageing, Adventist Nursing & Rehabilitation Centre, Blossom World Society, Lion Befriender Active Ageing Centre @ Ghim Moh 18, New Life Community Services – Childcare Centre, Fei Yue Active Ageing Centre (Limbang), Sian Chay Medical Institution, Sree Narayana Mission (Singapore), Tzu Chi Humanistic Youth Centre, MWS Family Service Centre – Yishun, Tzu Chi Foundation Buddhist Tzu Chi Traditional Chinese Medicine Free Clinic (Khatib), Clarity Singapore Limited, Montfort Care Goodlife! Yishun, Thong Teck Sian Tong Lian Sin Sia – NKF Dialysis Centre and Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities Ltd.
The Cheque Presentation Ceremony took place during the PCF Family Day on 11 September 2022. Representatives from 18 charitable organisations that benefitted from the funds were present to receive their donation letters from PCF-CD.
The fundraising expense for the event is $20,036.
No commercial fundraiser was engaged.
