Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the daily operations of the Active Ageing Centre, in alignment with directions of AAC senior management and MOH/AIC.

Job Holder Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma from an accredited University or Polytechnic. Preferably in the field of Social Work or Gerontology.
  • Preferably with at least two years of experience in an eldercare setting with direct operational roles such as handling an active ageing centre.
  • With prior supervisory experience and strong interpersonal skills, both a team player as well as able to work independently.

  • Engage elderly residents in the community and encourage them to participate in activities which the Active Ageing Centre organizes.

  • Conduct IRMS referral management for befriending and buddying services by screening all incoming referrals, directing these to the relevant executives, monitoring the referral outcomes, and ensuring good record keeping.
  • Handle all inquiries/correspondences received via the Centre hotline, the Active Ageing General Email Account or walk-in.
  • Provide administrative and logistics support to the Active Ageing Centre in operational documentation and reports. For example, Quarterly Department Meeting notes and Monthly Centre Meetings.
  • General office duties include the creation of Small Value Purchase (SVPs), procurement of centre and activity supplies, handling purchase requisition, petty cash management, equipment maintenance, and centre inventory.

Job Description

  • Plan and run physiotherapy rehab therapy services in the Senior Care Centre [in coordination with the Centre Manager and Occupational Therapist].
