Active Rehabilitation Services

Balance and Fall Prevention

Given the increased risk of falls in older adults, active rehabilitation programmes often focus on balance training and fall prevention strategies. This may involve specific exercises, home modifications, and education on how to navigate various environments safely.

Cognitive Rehabilitation

Incorporate cognitive exercises and activities to maintain or improve cognitive function. Work on memory enhancement, problem-solving skills, and other cognitive abilities.

Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy

Provide adaptive equipment or modifications to the home environment to enhance safety and functionality.

Frailty Programme

Getting frail is common as people get older. It shows up as weakness, slowness, low activity levels, tiredness, and weight loss. Frailty will also affect the cognitive and emotional well-being of the person. To reduce frailty in seniors, our Frailty Programme focuses on simple exercises, cognitive activities, and social connections for their well-being.

Post-operative Rehabilitation

Helping your senior loved ones recover after surgeries like hip/knee replacements or neck/back operations is crucial for their well-being. Our team of physiotherapists and occupational therapists is here to provide dedicated support. We work closely to create an individualised plan with realistic goals and a clear timeline for rehabilitation, focusing on muscle strength, flexibility, balance, and daily activities. Our holistic approach aims to bring back the joy of meaningful activities and interests in their lives.

Home Safety Assessment and Advice

Ensuring your home is a haven is crucial for minimising preventable injuries and promoting independence in daily life. Our team of occupational therapists will meticulously assess your home, pinpoint potential hazards, and offer practical advice. They will develop their recommendations with your unique daily routine in mind, ensuring a smooth fit of safety measures that enhance your loved one’s independence.

Wheelchair/ Motorised Device Prescription and Education

Being independent is crucial for well-being, and we know that being able to move around is essential. We focus on Personal Mobility Devices (PMDs), like motorised wheelchairs, to help people move freely and easily in their homes and communities. Safety is essential to us, so our occupational therapists carefully check if using a PMD is safe and suitable for you. We look out for your safety and independence.

Caregiver Training Programmes

Quality care begins with essential caregiver training. Our therapists are here to guide you, offering vital techniques and practical tips to support you on your caregiving journey. From hands-on skills like manual handling and assisting with walking to adeptly aiding seniors in daily tasks such as showering and changing clothes, our training equips you with the diverse needs and conditions you may encounter.

Horticultural Therapy

Nurturing joy and connection through therapeutic gardening for our seniors.

Snoezelen Therapy

Snoezelen uses calm sights, sounds, smells, and textures to create a special space for people of all abilities to relax and explore their senses.
